Highly sensitive and fast analytical method for paraquat and diquat residues in matrices of plant origin

Paraquat, CAS 4685-14-7 (and its salts -dichloride CAS 1910-42-5 or -dimethylsulfate CAS 2074-50-2) and Diquat CAS 2764-72-9 (and their salts dibromide CAS 85 -00-7, dichlorides CAS 4032-26-2) are very commonly used herbicides worldwide.

Diquat is well known for its use in oilseeds (sunflower, linseed, rape, etc.), potato production and its use in hops untill 2018.

Paraquat, on the other hand, is used in herb, tea and coffee cultivation as well as in tropical fruits and berries cultivation against competing weeds.

We have developed an innovative and highly sensitive method that allows the determination of Paraquat and Diquat traces  LOQs 0.01 mg/kg for both analytes in all matrices.

Our method is validated (SANTE / 11813/2017) and accredited (DAkkS).
