Food/feed

Foodstuffs, feedstuffs and their raw materials are analysed for a variety of chemical, physical and microbiological parameters.

In the field of food and feedstuffs, PiCA Prüfinstitut Chemische Analytik GmbH specialises in the analysis of residues and contaminants, but also in the determination of the content of value-giving substances. Here you can fall back on our wide range of analyses.

Contaminants

  • Plasticisers incl. phthalates (DEHP, DBP, DiBP and others), adipates, sebacates, citrates, phosphates, chlorinated paraffins, ESBO and others
  • Disinfectants such as quaternary ammonium compounds (e.g. BAC 8-18 and DDAC 8-18), chlorate, perchlorate
  • Preservatives such as isothiazolinones, parabens
  • Protein adulterants e.g. melamine, cyanuric acid
  • Solvent residues e.g. extraction solvents, benzene, furan and others
  • Pyrrolizidine alkaloids (BfR-28)
  • Mycotoxins (aflatoxins, deoxynevalenone, zearalenone, ochratoxin A)
  • MOSH and MOAH
  • Bisphenol (bisphenol A, bisphenol F, bisphenol S and others) and bisphenol derivatives (e.g. cyclo-di BADGE, BADGE, BFDGE, NOGE)
  • Photoinitiators (e.g. benzophenone, 4- methylbenzophenone)
  • Antioxidants (BHA, BHT, TBHQ)

Pesticide residues

With the latest technology and innovative semi-automatic sample processing for pesticide analysis, we are able to process even the most difficult matrices in a very short time.

Multi-methods (600-700 substances) and customised pesticide packages using LC-MS/MS and GC-MS/MS

  • Packages on request 1 to 50 substances (LC-MS/MS and/or GC-MS/MS)
  • Packages on request 1 to 100 substances (LC-MS/MS and/or GC-MS/MS)

Herbicides (weed killers)

  • Acid herbicides (screening of 42 substances incl. MCPA, 2,4-D, haloxyfop)
  • Glyphosate incl. metabolite AMPA
  • Single parameter herbicides (dalapon, dicamba, cyclanilide, 3-TCA)
  • Paraquat / Deiquat
  • Glufosinate incl. metabolite N-acetylglufosinate
