Air quality investigations
The quality of indoor air is essential for the individual sense of wellbeing and the ability to perform both at home and at work. Renovation work or inherited waste in buildings as well as the handling of hazardous materials at work can lead to increased air pollution or odour nuisances.
On the basis of appropriate sampling media (Tenax, activated carbon, Anasorb, DNPH, silica gel, PU foam etc.), PiCA analyses collected air samples for a broad range of volatile and semivolatile organic compounds (VOC, SVOC).
Our investigations include, for example
- chlorinated, aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons
- aldehydes, acids, esters, ethers, amines and glycolic compounds
- wood preservatives (PCP, Lindane), polychlorinated biphenyls (PCB) and flame retardants.
The VOC and SVOC contents can also be analysed in material samples in order to find, for instance, sources of contamination. The range of substances is permanently extended by our staff members. Please contact us if you need further information on our current range.
