Consumer goods
Consumer goods comprise numerous product groups we use in our everyday lives.
Among them are:
- articles coming into contact with food, such as packaging materials and dishes made of e. g. plastics
- packaging for cosmetic products
- articles coming into contact with the mucous membrane of the mouth such as toothbrushes, teething rings, teats, dummies, and mouthpieces
- articles intended for body care such as sponges, razors, shavers, and combs
- toys and joke articles such as toy building bricks, plasticine, sneezing powder
- articles intended for long-term use on the human body such as clothing, wigs, jewellery, glasses
- cleaning agents, detergents, furniture polish for domestic use
- impregnating agents and other equipment for domestic use such as shoe polish
- agents and articles for odour improvement such as air fresheners, fragrance lamps, insect strips, pheromone traps
Among others, we test consumer goods such as
- leather for the presence of chlorinated paraffins and preservatives (PCP,o-phenylphenol, chlorocresol)
- toys for the presence of plasticisers, PAH and other parameters from DIN EN 71 (European Standard)
- packaging which comes into contact with food for its migration behaviour
- insect repellents and pheromon traps for their active ingredients
