PiCA presented its scientific developments in the field of pesticide residue analytics at the EPRW 2018 in Munich:
- Optimized Sample Preparation for Multi-residue Pesticide Analysis in Difficult Matrices, Langner, J., Romanotto, A.
- The Q19: Automated Clean Up For The Analysis of 700 Pesticides In Difficult Matrices Like Tea And Hops, Romanotto, A., Langner, J., Sander, M., Speer, K.
The main goals of these developments are to enhance the quality of analytic results and to accelerate the analyses. The main focus was set on complex matrices like tea, herbs, spices and hop. These materials contain a lot of natural chemical which interfeer and disturb the analysis done using conventional methods like QuEChERS and DFG S19.
Using this method to clean-up fats and oils the time consuming GPC (gel permeation chromatography) can be replaced. Therefore PiCA now is able to offer the pesticide screening in express mode.
